Placement and Referral Process

Placements at our Small Family Home are accepted only through authorized placement agencies and county departments in accordance with California Title 22 regulations. We do not accept self-referrals or direct placements from individuals, families, or the public. All placement considerations are determined by the referring placement agency or county department, licensing capacity and approved age range, compatibility with the Small Family Home’s scope of care, and regulatory and safety considerations. 

Important Placement Disclosure: Submission of an inquiry, referral process, or request for information does not guarantee placement. Placement decisions are made exclusively by the referring agency or county department and are subject to licensing approval and availability.

We collaborate professionally with placement agencies, County placing agencies, social workers, and care teams, as well as authorized service providers. This collaboration ensures that the referral process adheres to California Title 22 regulations and is managed in a manner consistent with the best interests of the child.

Our Small Family Home does not: 

- Approve placements independently 

- Guarantee availability or acceptance 

- Determine eligibility outside of licensing parameters 

All placement authority lies with the placement agencies and licensing bodies, ensuring compliance with California Title 22 regulations. 

Regulatory Statement 

Placement and referral practices are conducted in accordance with the regulations set forth by the California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division under Title 22, ensuring a proper referral process.
